Los Angeles International Fern Society
Purpose
The Los Angeles International Fern Society brings together people interested in ferns and exotic plants and gardening. We promote the appreciation, study, cultivation, and enjoyment of ferns through education, workshops, garden visits, exhibits, community projects, and the sharing of knowledge and plants.
LAIFS also provides a welcoming community where members can learn, exchange ideas, build friendships, and enjoy gardening together, while supporting horticultural education and preserving fern knowledge for future generations.
Meetings
General membership meetings are now held on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 in the Bamboo Room (downstairs Lecture Hall) at the Los Angeles County Arboretum, 301 North Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia, CA 91007, (626) 821-3222, one block south of the 210 Freeway.
